Using our collaborative playlist as a starting point, we gathered tracks that seemed suitable for the piece, using it throughout our movement generation and creative process to construct the atmosphere and aural texture of this world.

Music also added another layer of presence to the space:
using sounds that related to each of us and our characteristics, the tracks that emerged reflected each of us and our characters.
plucky, punchy bass notes (warped from O mio babbino caro) - the playful, teasing duet between Yi and Kiera
sprawling cello enters (Bathroom Dance, from the movie 'Joker') - Kiera's distinct sound: playtime is over
rain, coming in on the ending heave of Bathroom Dance (recorded in Yi's conservatory) - raindrops hitting the roof sound like structures collapsing: the crumbling of the world order as we know it
ASMR flour sounds used throughout the first track creates a scratchy, underlying presence, setting the landscape upon which the journey begins
{By composing our soundscape with these sounds and tracks, it became a guide and tool for navigation as well, carrying our audience through, wrapping them into the world.
{Silence as fullness: by controlling the pace and fullness of our tracks, the space was charged further and further, until silence - in the space between the first and second track. Breath, heartbeats, human sounds became apparent and suddenly all became aware of the liveness in the space.

created with the sense of shift that we have experienced since week 8 -acknowledging and embracing this feeling, we re-opened our tracks and reassembled it to reflect the gaps and limbo we felt suspended in
Music is the attempt to control time. Capture breath in our coat pockets.
Protect it from the rain. Absorb the rain, water down our concentrated stew.
